Vibratage was created in February 2019 with the goal of generating a repository of information for structural dynamics, specifically shock and vibration.
Vibratage was created and is maintained by Nick Clinkinbeard.
Nick is currently a Principal Mechanical Engineer for Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He has nearly 20 years of industry experience, including 6 years in mechanical design and 13 years as a structural dynamics engineer with primary focus on structural design, analysis, and testing of aerospace electronic systems.
Nick is currently President-Elect of the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST), where he previously served as Vice President of Education for the Design, Test, Evaluation, and Product Reliability (DTE/PR) division. In addition, he has acted as conference session chair on several occasions, given technical presentations, participates in several Working Groups, and periodically teaches introductory vibration, shock, and fixture design courses.
Nick holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, and is currently pursuing a PhD.
